Linking electronic journal articles, databases and ebooks in webCT
If you are linking an article from a journal in ScienceDirect use DoI (Digital Object Identifiers)in your URL to link in webCT.
Suppose we need to link
DESIGN AND DEPLOYMENT OF A SPACE ELEVATOR
Acta Astronautica, Volume 47, Issue 10, November 2000, Pages 735-744
Bradley C. Edwards
The link using DoI (Digital Object Identifieers): You can also find DoI by clicking on either SummaryPlus or Full Text + Links in a record in ScienceDirect. Any articles from any other databases besides ScienceDirect identified by DoIs, you can use the following format. Click on the below to see the URL.
Link using DoI
To be able to access above article from remote, add
http://www.library.drexel.edu/cgi-bin/r.cgi?url=just before
http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/S0094-5765(00)00111-9
If the articles do not have DoIs or you want to link to an electronic
book or a database, use Use Link Maker . This reformats the link to a restricted resource so that it works from off-campus.
